COURSE DESCRIPTION

A novel coronavirus first detected in Wuhan City, Hubei Province, China in November 2019 has been named “COVID-19”. Symptoms of COVID-19 infections have ranged from mild to severe respiratory infections, pneumonia, and respiratory failure. The initial symptoms are fever, cough, and shortness of breath. This program provides what you need to know to combat this infection.

TARGET AUDIENCE

This independent self-study activity is designed for physicians and nursing professionals at all levels and settings in the healthcare industry.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Upon completion of the educational activity, the learner should be able to:

  • Review the current data on emerging coronavirus
  • Discuss the identification and management of patients exposed to coronavirus

METHOD OF PARTICIPATION

In order to receive credit, participants should read the entire monograph, complete and submit an evaluation and score at least 70% on the self-assessment test.
