Activity Overview
This accredited interactive activity aims to increase awareness of chronic cough, including symptoms, consequences to quality of life, etiologies, and an evidence-based approach to the assessment and treatment of patients with chronic cough. In addition, the program explores emerging therapies aimed at refractory chronic cough. The faculty will utilize a patient case-driven discussion that includes best practice recommendations.
Target Audience
This activity is designed for an audience of pulmonologists, Allergists, primary care physicians, nurse practitioners, PAs, nurses, and other healthcare providers who diagnose and manage patients with chronic cough.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of the educational activity, participants should be able to:
- Demonstrate awareness of how and why chronic cough symptoms impact quality of life.
- Identify the unmet clinical needs, and impact of chronic cough in patients who do not find relief from recommended management strategies.
- Plan an evidence-based approach to the assessment and treatment of the patient with chronic cough.
- Predict the impact emerging therapies for patients with refractory chronic cough.
Criteria for Success
There is no fee to participate in this activity. Statements of credit will be awarded based on the participant’s attendance.
