ACTIVITY OVERVIEW
This course offers healthcare and rehab professionals a clear, evidence-informed foundation on cannabis and its relevance in public health and therapeutic care. Led by Dr. Kenneth Finn, a board-certified physician and recognized expert in pain medicine and cannabis research, the curriculum provides a balanced and research-driven exploration of cannabis as both a potential therapeutic agent and a public health concern.
Participants will examine the evolving landscape of cannabis legalization and its impact on healthcare systems, alongside the latest data on safety, efficacy, and contraindications. Special attention is given to topical applications, such as CBD massage creams and infused kinesiology tapes, equipping bodyworkers and therapists with practical knowledge to assess appropriateness in clinical settings.
The course covers pharmacology, usage trends, and risk factors, ensuring practitioners understand both the mechanisms and real-world considerations of cannabis use. Whether you’re new to this subject or seeking to update your knowledge in line with recent developments, this course provides the tools to make informed, ethical, and safe decisions when supporting clients who use cannabis therapeutically.
