Hospice Medical Director Summit 2026
The Addus HomeCare Hospice Medical Director Summit is an educational and collaborative meeting for hospice medical directors and area operations leaders, held October 9–12, 2026, at The Boulders Resort & Spa in Scottsdale, Arizona. The summit brings together leaders from across our hospice programs to strengthen clinical practice, exchange expertise, and support high-quality, patient-centered end-of-life care.
The educational program combines expert presentations, interdisciplinary discussion, and a roundtable. Planned topics include pain management across the chronic, palliative, and hospice care continuum; buprenorphine or methadone therapy and deprescribing; hospice eligibility and certification of terminal illness documentation; goals-of-care conversations; and legal and regulatory considerations. Sessions are intended to support clinical decision-making, effective interdisciplinary collaboration, and the application of best practices in hospice care.
The summit also includes separately identified organizational updates, technology discussions, and appreciation activities. CME credit is being sought for eligible educational sessions, subject to the accredited provider’s review and approval.
