Dr. Thomas Weshefsky is a seasoned private practice optometrist with nearly 30 years of experience, specializing in the transformative field of contact lenses, particularly orthokeratology. Achieving Fellowship in the International Academy of Orthokeratology in 2009, he has since become a recognized leader in myopia control. His impactful contributions include serving on the board of directors of the American Academy of Orthokeratology and Myopia Control, and creating and hosting the Academy’s "Ortho K Podcast" series, a valuable resource for optometrists worldwide. As Co-Host of the annual Vision by Design Boot Camp for Beginners, Dr. Weshefsky is passionate about empowering fellow practitioners with the skills and knowledge necessary for successful orthokeratology implementation. His expertise has been sought after internationally, with lectures delivered to doctors across the globe. His dedication to public awareness is further demonstrated by his featured appearances in numerous television news segments, focusing on orthokeratology, myopia control, and the importance of children's vision. Dr. Weshefsky  began his private practice journey in New Jersey in 1987, and later established Carolina Forest Family Eyecare in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina in 2006.
